Terms of Service
Effective 12 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of Learning Playground (the “Platform”), operated by Learning Playground (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Who can use the Platform
The Platform serves students, parents/guardians, tutors, and content creators. If you are under 18, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
2. Access plans and payments
- Platform access is sold as one-time duration purchases (e.g. 1, 3, or 12 months). Access begins when payment is confirmed and runs for the period purchased.
- Purchasing again while you still have active time extends your access from your existing end date — you never lose paid time.
- We do not automatically charge you to renew unless you explicitly opt in to auto-renewal.
- Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your full card details. Prices are in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
3. Tutors and creators
Tutors and creators may offer tutoring, assignments, live classes, and courses. If you publish content or teach on the Platform, you confirm you have the right to do so, your content is accurate and lawful, and you will conduct yourself professionally. Revenue shares, commissions, and payouts are as described to you at the time you enrol as a tutor or creator.
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant us a licence to host, display, and deliver that content to learners on the Platform for as long as you keep it published.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, abuse, or endanger any user — especially minors — in chat, live classes, or elsewhere;
- share content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to children;
- attempt to bypass access controls, security, or moderation;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute Platform content without permission;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your role or qualifications.
Live classrooms include automated and human moderation. We may remove content, end sessions, and suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Live classes and recordings
Live classes may be recorded for quality, safety, and learning purposes. Where sessions are recorded, recordings are retained only for a limited period and then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Educational content and exam preparation
Platform content, including AI-assisted practice questions, is provided for learning and practice. We do not guarantee any particular examination result or academic outcome.
Learning Playground is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WAEC, JAMB, NECO, NABTEB, or any examination body. References to examinations (e.g. WASSCE, UTME/JAMB, BECE) describe the syllabus a resource is aligned to, nothing more.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, and its original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Except for content you own, you may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform materials without permission.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or where required by law. Access already paid for is addressed in the Refund Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
